rag & bone Shawl Sweater

This shawl sweater from rag & bone was knit from wool donegal yarns that were originally charcoal with blue and yellow flecks. We overdyed it with cochineal to create a deep burgundy hue that remains subtly speckled.

- hand wash only in warm water with a pH neutral detergent / hang or lay flat to dry / iron low as needed

- do not bleach

- unevenness in dye uptake and gradations of hues are beautiful, distinctive, and intrinsic to the natural dye process

- naturally dyed clothing may transfer color before the first wash or two; until then, avoid contact with light colored objects and surfaces
