– Only wash when needed with a mild, pH neutral detergent.

– In a perfect world, hand wash your naturally dyed clothing in cool or lukewarm water. Hang wovens and lay knits flat to dry.

– In reality, follow the instructions on the care label. Garments made of cellulose fibers (cotton / linen / hemp) will do just fine on a delicate cycle in the washing machine with cold water, followed by a low tumble dry, whereas garments made from protein fibers (wool / silk) will generally require hand washing and air drying.

– Do not dry clean your naturally dyed clothing. We do not test our clothing in dry cleaning solvents, some of which may damage natural dyes.

 – Do not bleach.

– The garment dye process preshrinks our clothing. Do not expect any additional significant shrinkage, other than our undyed or white offerings that will shrink to size (unless otherwise noted on the product page).

– Your garment has already been through a fair amount of heat and agitation during the garment dye process. However you decide to care for your garment, we’ve already put it through worse.
