Polo Ralph Lauren Silk Blend Chino

These chinos from Polo Ralph Lauren are cut from a lightweight twill blend of silk and cotton. We used a low percentage of madder to create a reddish pink and then immersed the pant into iron to create a dusty rose with plenty of depth and gradations.

To preserve a subtle brightness of color, the chinos were mordanted with alum, sodium acetate, and calcium carbonate (rather than aluminum acetate and gall nut tannin extract) to prevent the iron from turning the shade too dark.

- hand wash only in warm water with a pH neutral detergent / hang or lay flat to dry / iron low as needed
